FREDERIK VAN HUMBEECK

Frederik is  Belgian designer and craftsman whose practice moves between furniture and sculpture. Working primarily with wood, he approaches functional objects through an intuitive process shaped by carving, construction and material response.

His work is defined by a tension between structure and irregularity. Familiar typologies are reworked through dense surfaces, unexpected geometries and visible traces of the hand, giving each piece a distinct physical presence while retaining its function.
